This is my interpretation of a manuscript score of Lanner’s penultimate waltz. It is not in Lanner’s hand but is contemporary and looks to be Lanner’s orchestration to me.
And it is really good. No weaknesses at all, really, and some very good harmonic writing. The extended melodic writing of waltz 4B in particular is something not to be repeated for many years.
It was first performed in February 1843 at Dommayer's Casino.
