My orchestration of an American piano score of this march based on themes from Suppé’s operetta “Der Jagd nach dem Glück”.

Suppé wrote a large amount of music for the theatre, most of it no longer performed with the exception of some very famous overtures. I’ve read that he published a lot of dance music based on themes from his operettas etc. but I have to admit I have heard very little of it. There’s not much in the usual places I hunt for scores either, not even piano scores.

If this perfectly decent, professionally written march is anything to go by he deserves a better look.
