My orchestration from the Spina piano score of these dances by August Lanner. Some sources have “Gruss aus der Steiermark” but it is “an” on the printed score. However, the score has two different opus numbers so perhaps it cannot be relied on.

It was first performed in Dommayer’s in June 1853
