My orchestration from a piano score of this waltz by Philipp Fahrbach I. Surprisingly for a waltz of this date, and presumably importance, there is no introduction. That might be just because it is not in the piano score I have, which looks cheaply produced and not by an obvious Viennese publisher. There is no title page either.

No problems with the waltz itself though. It dates from the period after Johann Strauss I’s death and while Johann II was out of favour at court owing to his choosing the wrong side in the 1848 revolution. Fahrbach provided the music for the court balls at this time, hence the title.
