A few weeks ago I published a transcription of the autograph of Joseph Lanner’s Elite Tänze to replace a very early orchestration of mine that I thought was too anachronistic. I wrote at the time that there were a number of other orchestrations of Lanner that I had done early in my development that I now regarded as a bit embarrassing. This is an attempt to rehabilitate one of them in the light of my subsequent experience. I hope it’s a bit better and doesn’t annoy me for a few years anyway.
