My orchestration from the Haslinger piano score. It was first performed on the 8th February 1859.

Originally done by request, as the only available proper recording is a bit lifeless, it’s not a waltz I was familiar with but I did listen to the recording once before starting work. I don’t normally do that, but it does mean that I picked up on some things that are not in the piano score. I haven’t tried to follow Strauss’s orchestration exactly, although I have put in some of the more distinctive features. It’s my orchestration in a reasonably similar style.

I’m always happy to consider requests for works of this type that are not well represented in recordings, especially if they come with a score.
