Vermählungs Polka, Op. 22
Arr. CPE Strauss
My orchestration from the piano score of this polka by August Lanner. I don’t know whose marriage is being referred to as it’s not on the score, but Franz Josef I was married a few days before the first performance in 1854.
There are no “royal quotations” in the music though, and Lanner was not shy of doing that for pieces written with royalty in mind.
It’s a nice polka though.
