This is a transcription of a score sent to me by the Johann Strauss Society of Great Britain.

The march was written for a competition to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Hoch und Deutschmeister regiment in 1896. Also in competition were Johann Strauss II’s Deutschmeister Jubiläums Marsch, Op. 470 and Josef Bayer’s Deutschmeister Regiments Marsch. All three are good marches and you can find the other on youtube. On the day, apparently, the Bayer went down best. I prefer the Strauss.
