My orchestration from the Mechetti piano score of this waltz by Joseph Lanner. The original score and performance material do not survive. The earliest orchestral parts date from 1852 I think. It was first performed on the 1st February 1840
I have added two horns to the orchestral layout specified in the thematic catalogue. This list is presumably based on the 1852 published parts. Every Lanner waltz of this period I have seen has had two of the trumpets doubling on horns. This practice was pretty much obsolete by 1852, so I think the publisher might have just printed the parts for trumpets.
