My orchestration of the Glöggl piano score of this polka, one of four pieces Suppé published from the incidental music to Klesheim’s Bilder und Kinder Märchen.

Suppé wrote a large amount of music for the theatre, most of it no longer performed with the exception of some very famous overtures. I’ve read that he published a lot of dance music based on themes from his operettas etc. but I have to admit I have heard very little of it. There’s not much in the usual places I hunt for scores either, not even piano scores.
