My orchestration of this late waltz by Johann Strauss II. It was a legitimate target as he never orchestrated it himself. It is based on themes from his operetta “Die Göttin der Vernunft”. The work was first performed in the Musikverein on the 28th March 1897 with an orchestration, since lost, by Eduard Strauss who conducted the first performance.
