My orchestration from the Cranz piano score of this waltz by Johann Strauss III.

I have not been able to find out much about it. Going from the opus number, the Cranz publication number and the fact that it is advertised as by Joh. Strauss rather than Joh. Strauss Junior I think it dates from about 1900.

I can’t find a recording other than a strange one for piano solo in the manner of an Edwardian café pianist. Fine as it goes, but almost every dynamic marking is ignored.

I am sure my orchestration is nowhere close to the original. It was written long after the period in which I am comfortable, but I thought it was interesting enough to give it a go.
