My orchestration of this quadrille by Eduard Strauss based on themes from Offenbach’s La Vie Parisienne.

This is my second attempt at this. The first attempt was thwarted by some unscrupulous 19th century marketing when the “Pariser Leben quadrille by Strauss” turned out to be by Isaac Strauss! I did manage to find the Eduard Strauss version eventually and this is really it.

I have now done both. I was going to suggest you compared the two but there is little point. All of the tunes are by Offenbach and the orchestration is by me. You would only be comparing the various Strausses’ choices of good tunes for a quadrille. Hardly a skilled job.
