Johann Strauss II is the most famous exponent of the

Viennese waltz. If you need an explanation from me

as to who he is, you are probably on the wrong website!

Having said that, a surprising number of his pieces do

not have their original orchestral scores. Quite a number

of those that do have uninspired performances. Both

of these are reasonable excuses for me to have a go.

Neither really explains why I did the Blue Danube though.
